Since the beginning Vortex has been a one-stop shop for those looking to get some of the best optics on the market and the perfect mounting solution to go along with it. New for 2019 is their 1” and 30 mm Pro Series rings that represent a value-based option for those on a budget. Machined from 7075 T6 aluminum and anodized in a very smooth matte black, they also feature some very clever laser engraving.

On each ring, Vortex has included the torque specs for the ring caps and the rail clamps so that you’ll never wonder exactly how tight you should make it. Vortex also designed these rings to help mitigate over torquing the screws by limiting how far down the screw can go. There are two different height options for the 1” rings and four height options for the 30mm rings.

Spotting your hits and your misses is vital in long range shooting and to help make that process easier when using the Vortex HD 85mm spotter, Vortex has released a 22X reticle eyepiece.

Having a reticle within your field of view essentially gives you a ruler that you can use to estimate range, speed up the zero in the process, and give shot corrections. The reticle is available in either MOA or MRAD configurations to match the scope’s adjustments and make communication between the shooter and spotter seamless.

The 22X magnification of the eyepiece may seem low however it makes good sense as it opens up the field of view and it can help mitigate the effects of mirage that could effect corrections passed on to the shooter.

Now, you can’t hit something at long range if you don’t know how far away it is and boy does Vortex have something for you guys. Called the Fury HD 5000 laser rangefinding binoculars, it boasts some very impressive stats, especially for the cost.

According to Vortex, these binoculars have a maximum range of 5,000 yards on a reflective target, nearly 2,500 on a non-reflective target, and about 1,600 yards on deer. The 10X magnification provides enough oomph to glass a hillside or prairie and the right side activation buttons mean you can almost instantly get an accurate range to the target. Inside, the display can provide you the horizontal distance for shooting in steep terrain, line of sight for flat terrain, and a scan mode. The total package is only 5.75” X 5.0” and it weighs a mere 2 pounds. The MSRP for these laser rangefinding binoculars is $1,599.99 with availability due in early March.
