One of my favorite companies, Uintah Precision (pronounced ‘you-in-tah’), has updated their lineup for 2020 by producing their own lowers which has allowed them to offer complete rifles of their own making. On top of this, they have updated their design for better aesthetics and functionality.
Uintah Precision Lower Recievers
Uintah Precision now makes lower receivers for both their AR15 and AR10 (UP15 and UP10 respectively) bolt action uppers. These Lowers are precision machined billet receivers with the AR15 receiver being 6061 aluminum and the AR10 receiver being 7075 T6 Aluminum. They feature oversized trigger guards, a flared magwell with serrated barricade stop machined into the magwell, and nylon tipped lower receiver tension screw.
The aesthetic improvements that were made include slimming down the profile of the upper, introducing lightening cuts throughout, and redefining edges. In the future, they will also be offering a different handguard than what is currently used.
Uintah Now Offers their own Complete Rifles
Besides changing the look of their uppers and adding lower receivers to the lineup, they are now putting all of this together to provide you with a rifle that is consists of their own lower and upper. When you order a rifle off of their website, you are basically submitting an order for a custom gun. You can choose all sorts of options, and if they don’t offer it, you can ask and get it.
Unless you specify otherwise, their rifles will ship with a Velocity 3-pound trigger, Preferred Barrel (416R stainless steel) or Proof Research carbon fiber barrel, Luth-AR MBA-1 rifle stock and Ergo Delux grip to name a few items. Handguard length depends on barrel length and lower receiver type. When you buy a UPR15 (ar15 lower), you will get a 16″ handguard on any barrel length over 20″, or a 10″ handguard if the barrel is shorter than 20″. On the other side, a UPR10 comes with a 15″ handguard.
