Springfield Hellcat (OSP) 9mm

The new Springfield Armory Hellcat and Hellcat OSP (Optics Sight Pistol) is the highest capacity micro compact 9mm available on the market with an 11 + 1 standard capacity. It also comes with a 13-round extended magazine, an extra flush fitting base plate for ultimate concealment, and a soft padded pistol case. For those living in magazine capacity restricted states, a 10-round magazine is coming soon.

The slide is milled from billet steel and is paired with a 3-inch hammer forged barrel. Both are Melonite coated for wear and corrosion resistance. The top of the slide includes a witness hole for visibly checking if there is a round in the chamber. Updated slide serrations are located on the front and surround the entire rear part of the slide giving it a unique look. The OSP version comes with a cover plate with the same serrations for a seamless look. The Shield RMSc and JP Enterprises JPoint red dot fit best on the OSP version and mount directly to the slide without need for baseplate adapters. Springfield’s steel U-Dot™ sight system features a front tritium sight with a luminescent surrounding, and a U-shaped rear sight notch with tactical ledge for one handed manipulation. It also features a dual recoil spring on a full-length guide rod for improved recoil control and added reliability.

A reinforced polymer frame with Springfield’s new Adaptive Grip Texture™ on the grip and on the front for your support finger. The unique texture pattern guarantees you will have no problem gripping and controlling the Hellcat in all conditions. It’s not overly aggressive and has a similar feel to a custom stippled frame. The frame has an undercut trigger guard with a high-hand beavertail making it sit lower in your hand for increased control. A standard front picatinny rail allows for accessory use. The Hellcat has a flat faced trigger design with integrated blade safety and a nickel boron coated trigger group for a smooth consistent pull. The magazine release can be switched to either side.

MSRP on the Springfield Hellcat is $569 and $599 for the OSP version. You can find one from your local dealer on GunsAmerica for slightly less.
