Silencer Central made waves in 2020 when it expanded its services to all 42 states where suppressors are legal to own. At the 2022 SHOT Show, they attracted even more attention with two new titanium and Inconel suppressors: the Banish 338 and the Banish 46.
The Banish 46 is a modular suppressor designed for use with a huge array of rifle and pistol cartridges. As GunsAmerica editor True Pearce put it when we visited Silencer Central on Range Day, it’s the “do-it-all suppressor” for everything from .338 Lapua to .45-70 Government to 10mm to .308.
The Banish 46’s modularity allows users to customize the can to specific applications and needs. For maneuverability and weight reduction, users can remove the front cap for a length of just 7.9 inches and a weight of only 16.3 oz. If more sound reduction is needed, the front cap can be reinstalled for an overall length of 10” and a weight of just 20.4 oz.
The Banish 338 is designed for calibers .338 and smaller. That includes the .338 Lapua, .30-caliber cartridges, and .223 Rem., to name just a few.
Both suppressors are manufactured with titanium and Inconel, which makes them both tough and extremely lightweight. The .338 is especially light for its performance. At just 17.5 oz and 9.1” long, it still offers a sound reduction of 33 decibels.
Pearce got a chance to test both cans at Range Day 2022. He was impressed with both, but the Banish 46 did an especially good job controlling recoil from a .45-70 Government shot from a lightweight rifle.
The Banish 46 will hit the market at $1,249 MSRP and the Banish 338 will run $1,599.
Silencer Central offers customers a one-stop shopping experience for not only their new suppressors but also for suppressors from other companies. Customers choose a can, and Silencer Central employees walk them through the entire purchasing process from start to finish.
Once they receive approval from the ATF, Silencer Central ships the suppressor directly to a customer’s door.
