What do you get when you take an old world Italian high grade shotgun and African rifle company and ask them to make guns in 2017 for the new shooters of today? Sabatti Target Rifles. Italians are used to making the best quality almost everything, so it is no surprise that their long range precision target rifles would be meticulous and inventive.

What caught my attention was “Multi Radial Rifling.” It was impossible to get on camera, but they had some cross sectional blocks of how they cut the rifling in the bores of these rifles. It looks like almost a figure 8 in rifling, which is odd, because you’d think that the bullet would get very confused.

The claim is that the rifling produces less heat due to less resistance, and that also means higher velocity, and they claim, increased precision, shot to shot. As Justin said, that rifle 1/3rd MOA in their tests, so this looks really promising. Hopefully we’ll get a review rifle at some point.

All of the guns use AICS compliant magazines and feature a threaded barrel 5/8×24 to accommodate suppressors.

Available in 6.5 creedmoor and 308 win, the ST17 and STR take standard AR15 buttstocks and pistol grips so the rifle can take advantage of the large AR15 aftermarket choices out there.

The Rover Tactical is more of an adjustable stock traditional design, and it is the most expensive as well. This company is still making double rifles with elephants engraved on them, so if you have thought about going long range tactical, and you love a handmade Italian firearm, check out Sabatti
