Impression
The K6S is billed as the world’s lightest production six-shot .357 Magnum, with an empty weight of 23 ounces. The cylinder is incredibly slim for such a serious cartidge, but the gun shoots quite smoothly. I had to double check to be sure they didn’t fill my cylinder with .38 Special instead of magnums. At the range at SHOT, I had the chance to see the Stainless model, Stainless with Crimson Trace laser grip and the DCR (Deluxe Carry Revolver).
I had a chance to shoot the one with the Crimson Trace laser, and this is a must-have option for me on small-size revolvers. The sights on the K6s aren’t as small as some pocket revolvers, but I still found the laser faster and easier to pick up. The DCR looks like a refined gentleman’s gun to me, but they let me shoot it anyway. Rosewood grips wrap the frame, checkered in a beautiful pattern. This model also features a fiber optic front sight, which was quite a nice addition.
