Madonna Partners with Everytown for Bizarre Video: Gun Control Should Be 'Mandatory,' Guns 'Outlawed'
The pop icon’s video has garnered over 500,000 views.

Apparently not satisfied being an international pop icon and undergoing plastic surgery, Madonna has launched a gun control campaign in partnership with Everytown for Gun Safety to promote the #guncontrolnow and #wakeupamerica social media hashtags.

The pop star posted a video on her Instagram page in which she walks around an unidentified urban location putting up posters promoting her campaign hashtags.

Near the end of the video, she turns to the camera and argues that “gun control” should be mandatory like COVID-19 vaccinations.

“Have you heard of this new vaccination for America? It’s going to keep us all alive, it’s going to keep us all safe,” she says. “It’s called gun control, OK? It’s called gun safety, alright? New vaccination. It should be mandatory for all citizens.”

Madonna then posted a follow-up message expanding on her gun control agenda and calling for guns to be outlawed.

“Yes-people kill people, not guns. But the vast majority of people are not enlightened and guns are too easy to own. If they were outlawed then no one would feel the need to own a gun to protect themselves from those who have guns,” she said.

The pop icon also sounded off on recent controversial police killings and called for the officers involved to be sent to prison for life without a trial.

“Adam Toledo was 13 years old, Daunte Wright was 20! The Officers who killed them are only being charged with manslaughter. This is insanity. Horrific. And yet it has become normalized in our society,” she said. “As for Police killing innocent children. Shooting and suffocating and brutalizing innocent people………… They should go immediately to jail for the rest of there [sic] lives. No trial, no corrupt justice system.”

Madonna isn’t the only celebrity to embrace the gun ban agenda in recent days. Julianne Moore posts frequently about gun control on her Instagram account, and she celebrated President Joe Biden’s executive actions on gun control.

“This is huge. Each of these executive actions will begin to address the devastating crisis of gun violence that has raged throughout the pandemic—and start to make good on President Biden’s promise to be the strongest gun safety president in American history,” she said.

Many of the commenters on Madonna’s post supported her stance, but many also expressed criticism.

“Gun control is only going to stop good people from owning a gun and protecting themselves,” one commenter pointed out. “Bad people will always have easy access to them, same as drugs.🤷🏻‍♂️ I said what I said.”

“As much as I love you and all the years I’ve admired you for their rebel inside of you I cannot believe you think our gun should be taken away from us and the government is not trying to control us… Wake up America the government is trying to control us,” another said.

So far, Madonna’s video has garnered over 526,000 views.
