Kimber has been making waves with the K6s revolver line, which are words I never thought I would be typing. From the introduction 2 years ago, they have been steadily growing the line with more and more offerings. This year, three new models are set to debut at NRA show.

First up is the CDP, or Custom Defensive Package, which looks strikingly like the CDP 1911 from Kimber. That isn’t a knock, the CDP 1911 is a beautiful gun. In the K6s line, this gun features a stainless cylinder, controls, and barrel, contrasting the black DLC (diamond like coating) of the frame. This model also features the classic Kimber melt treatment, with all the edges rounded off for carrying. Rosewood grips complete the package.

Last, but most different, is a new 3-inch model, dressed in all stainless steel. This gun is a great option for new gun owners, that need a gun they can train with in addition to carrying. I’m not saying you can’t learn on a snub nose, but the curve is going to be steep. The 3-inch option gives a bit more sight radius, and the additional weight helps tame the .357 Magnum recoil a bit more. This is a classic looking revolver, sure to be a hit.
