There’s nothing better than a side-by-side double-barreled shotgun. Erm, I mean, there’s nothing better than an over/under shotgun. Well, if you’re like me and you just can’t make up your mind, then Charles Daly’s new Honcho Tactical Triple might be just the thing for you.
Three Barrels
It’s built as you’d expect a double-barreled or over/under to be built, except that it’s both. Three barrels, and three shots, all chambered in 12 gauge or you can get it in .410. It breaks open to extract all three shells at once. Work the single trigger three times to fire all three barrels.
Pistol Grips
The Honcho Tactical Triple is a short shotgun. The barrels are 18.5 inches long and the 12ga weighs just 6 pounds. It’s available with either the rounded pirate grip or the standard pistol grip. The grips and forends are solid walnut covered in rubber for positive grip in all situations. The pistol grip is checkered, while the pirate grip has scallops for your fingers. It’s also got a Picatinny rail under the barrels at the front for all manner of accessories–certainly a light, but maybe a bayonet would be appropriate, too.
