Geisselle is best known for a suite of AR triggers, suitable for every platform and style. They have become a force to be reckoned with, and are featured as standard equipment in more premium rifles than any other brand. In addition, they have slowly but surely created fantastic tools, hand guards, and a variety of other products. This year at SHOT Show, they pulled several rabbits out of the hat.
URGI in the Wild from Geissele
First up, the Upper Receiver Group Improved (URGI). That sounds like a military acronym because it is. It’s a near exact replica of the new upper receiver for USASOC. This upper features all kinds of goodies.
The Geisselle MK16 rail is the handguard and is one of the best in the business. I have been a fan since the first time I used one, it is a winner. Also from Geisselle on this upper, the Airborne Charging handle. This is a compromise in size from the oversized competition models that are too large, and the original M4, which is too small. A military weapon is often slung against armor, and to large a charging handle has a nasty habit of pulling the bolt out of battery. This is not fun when you are cruising around hostile territory with five of your best friends. The new Airborne Charging Handle looks like a fantastic compromise between the two. The barrel is Daniel Defense, and you can’t ask for more than that.

Remington 700 Triggers
Also in the category of new hotness, Geisselle is now making a Remington 700 trigger. This is fantastic news. For my money, the Remington 700 is the most iconic of all American Rifles. The actions and accessories of the 700 have aged well, but a trigger is always in need. The new Geisselle is fantastic. Taking root from a contract to build triggers for the Mk13 sniper system, this is a winner. I had the old Mk13 trigger, trust me, the new one is a vast improvement. These triggers are offered as a two-stage or a single stage, covering everyone’s tastes. The best part? While they come out of the box set up as one or the other, it is actually the same trigger. User configurable. So if you have never tried a single stage, you can buy one and aren’t stuck with it if you prefer two stage. This is going to be a huge win for Geisselle.
