This year at SHOT Show 2018, GEMTECH released the LUNAR 45, a super lightweight can made of military-grade aluminum and titanium. This suppressor is modular, allowing you to adjust the length to the amount of noise reduction you need. Users can remove two inches, making the can shorter for pistol-length barrels. The LUNAR 45 is usable for not only .45 ACP, but 9mm, .40 S&W, and 10mm.

Two standout new products include the KRG Bravo and the MiniAction Chassis Rifle. Announced late last year these guns represent the next generation of bolt-action rifles.

Archon Firearms, recently renamed from Arsenal Firearms, debuted the newest iteration of the B pistol dubbed the Type B. The company is rebranding to avoid a possible trademark dispute. The Type B pistol was formerly known as the Stryk B.

Released in December of 2017, the .224 Valkeryie is slowly gaining traction with long-range precision shooters. The cartridge is based on an .30 Remington/6.8 SPC case. Building on the success of the Lithgow LA101 and LA102 rifles, Legacy Sports International is now offering the Lithgow LA105 Woomera rifle. The Lithgow LA105 mates a match grade barreled upper receiver from Lithgow Arms of Australia to a Kinetic Research Group chassis. The Lithgow LA105 features a 20 MOA Picatinny rail and muzzle brake. The rifle has a 24-inch heavy profile barrel and is offered in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor.

The X Rail crew are some old friends, and I was happy to catch up with them at SHOT Show. The original X Rail changed the way people thought about shotguns for competitive ventures, and the became the go-to, must-have shotgun add-on for open class shooters. This year the 2017 Shotshow they introduced their latest version of the Can Cannon in the XAC-CAN308. It is designed to attach to 7.62 AR rifles and uses .308 blanks. The fact of the matter is the .223 just had some limitations in terms of its ability to launch heavier items and to achieve greater distances. With the additional pressure provided by the .308 blanks they have a complete new line of accessories that adds a level of fun and functionality to the concept.

Magnum Research is well known for its big and powerful Desert Eagle pistols, but it has been taking a slightly different tack with new variants they were showing at SHOT Show 2017. While they are still big and powerful, Magnum Research has worked to make them lighter and more portable. Take a look at some of the interesting new offerings on show at SHOT Show 2017.

The B-Series uses the same magazines as the A-Series and includes rifles chambered for .22 Long Rifle, .22 Magnum and .17 Hornady Rimfire Magnum.
