For California residents, the search to find an adequate handgun for personal and family protection can be quite difficult.

Adding to the drudgery is the narrow list of handguns that are approved by the state for manufacture and sale within its borders.

However, on Thursday the CA DOJ amended their list to include a California Compliant version of the Sig Sauer P320-M18.

The California Sig Sauer P320-M18

This addition adds an ever-popular handgun to California retailer shelves. The P320-M18 is the civilian release of the carry handgun now in use across several branches of the military.

The features of this specific version of SIG’s Modular Handgun System comply with CA laws. Further, being added to the list indicates the pistol has been reviewed and tested by the state and is found to be in line with state regulations.

Though this may seem like a simple change, any firearm added to the CA roster is a win for firearms enthusiasts and 2A supporters across the country.

For our CA readers, keep an eye out for the M18.
